My Story
Without even knowing what it meant to do so, I caught the entrepreneur bug at the ripe age of 19. Clueless as hell, but stoked to make my own rules and blaze my own trail... let me tell you 😏😍 It was love at first hustle. 🖤 Then, just as unexpectedly... BAM! At 22, I stumbled into the Mortgage Industry, and y'all, I hadn't the first clue what that meant either, but I started at the bottom, busted my ass, soaked up everything anyone taught me, and clawed my way up.
Next came love, marriage, and a dang baby carriage—wait. Make that THREE baby carriages. 😳 Y'all, I planned for two, and life was like, 'Surprise! You get a BONUS human!.' 🫣 (Literally, just like Oprah!)
Did I let the biggest curveball yet turn my world upside down? Hell no!
I flipped the script! Unexpected twins were about to CHANGE my life, and I needed to change along with it. I've never been one to let circumstance derail me. Change my course, absolutely! But never derail! #PIVOT (In my best Ross voice, of COURSE!)
So, there I was: baking two little buns in my oven, a toddler who owned me, and a 9-5 that suddenly looked like a prison sentence. 🥴
So, in 2016, I channeled my inner Beyoncé, leaned in to my love of entrepreneurship and took a leap so big, even the circus trapeze artists would gasp. 🤪 I traded my 'stable job' (read: guaranteed income) for juggling diaper changes with client calls, and a paycheck that was only coming if I hustled for it.
Was I scared? HELL YES.
But guess what? In 6 months, I was making waves—nothing too splashy, but enough to say, 'I DID THAT!' 🥳
Today, I'm the proud ringmaster of my own three-ring-circus, with Liam, Norah, and Preston as my star performers. 🤡
